The first time I advocated for a wider scope of inclusion was in 2005, when I sought a conversation about gender in a diversity conference put on by local high schools in my area. Since then I have been working in areas of policy, strategy, healthcare, and business administration to both introduce concepts of diversity and encourage inclusion, and also to provide organizations with concrete tools to immediately change the way their workplace feels.
I specialize in helping healthcare organizations learn how to incorporate social determinants of health into their screenings and practice models, and how diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice can be brought to bear in healthcare spaces.
